Tour Highlights:
– The Kaas Plateau is situated 25 kms west from Satara city in a 10 square kms area. It became a part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2012.
– It boasts of more than 850 different species of flowering plants (39 of these are found on Kaas alone) and numerous species of endemic butterflies annually in the months of August, September and October.
– Thoseghar Waterfalls is a scenic spot located near the village of Thoseghar, 20 kms from Satara city. There are a series of waterfalls, some of them 15 to 20 metres and one about 200 metres in height.
– Sajjangad is located near the city of Satara. It is the final resting place of Sant Ramdas (born 1608). His teachings and works written in books such as Dasbodh are read and followed by many people even today.
– Baramotichi Vihir is a stepwell in Limb village, Satara. The construction of this well started in 1641 and was completed in 1946 by Mrs. Virubai Bhosale. It is octogonal in shape and was built to look like a dug-out Shivling. It is 110 ft deep and 50 ft in diameter. This historical monument has become the fascinating subject for the archaeologists, students of history and historical architecture including tourists from all over world.

Tour Rules:
1. Do Not Litter: Carry a disposable bag in which you can put your trash and dispose the bag off in a dustbin after the tour
2. No Smoking and Alcohol: Smoking cigarettes, chewing tobacco or related products and consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited on the tour
3. Stay in a Group: Don’t stray, stick together
4. No Plastic: Avoid buying plastic water bottles; get water bottles filled from home instead
5. No scribbling on monuments
6. No risky poses
7. No harm to or teasing of animals/plants
8. No swimming in drinking water
9. Do not wear perfumes or make loud noise, else you will attract bees
10. Always wear full safety gear – ankle high shoes, full sleeve tshirt, full track pant, shades, cap, towel, torch, whistle

11:15 PM – Bus reaches Oberoi Mall on the Western Express Highway, Goregaon
11:25 PM – Bus reaches Bisleri Bus Stop on the Western Express Highway, Andheri
11:35 PM – Bus reaches Vakola Police Station Bus Stop on the Western Express Highway, Vakola
11:55 PM – Bus reaches Sion (below the Sion Flyover)
12:05 AM – Bus reaches Jijamata Bhosle Marg Junction on the Eastern Express Highway
12:30 AM – Bus reaches Vashi Junction on the Sion-Panvel Expressway
5:00 AM – Reach Satara, have breakfast
6:00 AM – Proceed towards Kaas Plateau
6:45 AM – Reach Kaas Plateau, explore Plateau with a naturalist and visit Lake
10:00 AM – Proceed towards Thoseghar Waterfalls
11:15 AM – Reach Thoseghar Waterfalls, explore
12:15 PM – Proceed towards Sajjangad
12:45 PM – Reach Sajjangad, explore and have lunch
2:30 PM – Proceed towards Baramotichi Vihir at Limb
3:30 PM – Reach Baramotichi Vihir, explore
4:15 PM – Leave for Mumbai

Important things to carry:
– Copy of Identity Card
– Peanuts/Chana/Chikki for more stamina
– First Aid Kit (basic – dettol, nebasulf, cotton swabs, bandaids, small scissors, crocin, antibiotic for stomach ache, personal medications if any) – Note: the tour lead does carry a medical kit along
– 3 Bottles of water – this is a must, the more the better
– Electral (in a rare case of dehydration)
– Backpacks, preferably with rain cover (no sling bags or jholas)
– Ankle length Shoes (you can keep spare floaters to wear after the Tour)
– T-shirt (preferably having full sleeves to protect against insect bites, sun burns, etc.)
– Track pants (preferably – again to protect against insect bites, sun burns, AVOID shorts, 3/4ths and denim pants)
– Cap or a bandana for covering your head
– Extra pair of clothes, socks & towel (packed in plastic bags for changing at the end of the tour)
– Plastic pouch to cover your mobile phone
– Torch (to explore any dark areas like caves, etc.)
– Swiss Knife (optional – may come handy)
– Paper tissues
– Avoid carrying gold or other valuable items (even expensive cameras)

Event Fee Exclusions:
1. Transportation from your home to the bus pick-up/drop point
2. Any other thing not mentioned in Inclusions

1. The Event will be cancelled if it doesn’t get at least 6 participants
2. If an Event is cancelled due to inadequate participation or unavoidable circumstances (like transport failure, riots, etc.) or acts of God (like Natural calamities, etc.), the registrants can opt to either (i) transfer the refund amount to any other future Event of ours or (ii) get us to transfer it to their Bank accounts

We will follow the tour itinerary as best as possible, however, if there are delays in the form of traffic on road or other unavoidable circumstances, we might skip a destination or two in order to arrive back in Mumbai on time.
